Prof. Khasru spoke on “AI and Governance: How should Australia navigate the unchartered territories” at the Australian Cyber Conference Melbourne 2023 on October 17, 2023.


Prof. Khasru spoke on “AI and machine learning: The changing knowledge ecosystem of Australia and the challenges ahead” at the AISA Cyber Conference in Canberra, on March 22, 2023.


Prof. Khasru previously has been a regular speaker of multiple Australia cyber conference, sharing his insights on the cyber space, its challenges, and opportunities. This year, he spoke on “Australia’s Digital Transformation: A Policy Brief for Government to bridge the Digital Divide in the Post-Pandemic Era”.


Prof. Khasru, Chairman, IPAG Asia Pacific, spoke at Australia’s Annual Risk Management and & Cyber Security Conference in Melbourne, Australia on “An artificial intelligence (AI) empowered digital transformation in the making; Australia’s potential to be a global leader in AI”; November 15-17, 2021.


Prof. Khasru, Chairman, IPAG Asia Pacific, Melbourne spoke at Australia’s Annual Risk Management & Cyber Security Conference in Melbourne, Australia on “How the digital workplace is overcoming the barriers of time and geography” held from November 09-13, 2020 in Melbourne. He also spoke at a Panel Discussion on “Cyber Security in the Post COVID-19 Era”.


On June 25, 2020, Prof. Khasru, Chairman, IPAG speaking on “Post COVID Challenges for South Asia” at the invitation of Australian Trade & Investment Commission.


As head of IPAG Asia Pacific, Australia, Prof. Khasru attended the Inception Conference of the think tanks from the G20 countries held from Jan 19-20, 2020 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he spoke on, “Incentivizing the Private Sector to Support the UN’S Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”.


Prof. Khasru spoke during the “The Asia-Pacific Conference on Financing Inclusive and Sustainable Development” organized by the UNESCAP, ADB, & International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on Dec 12, 2019.


Prof. Khasru moderated and spoke during the session on “Building a Cyber Security Strategy that Works” during the Australian Cyber Security Conference 2018 organized by the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) from October 9-11, 2018 in Melbourne, Australia.


Prof. Khasru was the Moderator of the session “Challenges to Peace and Development in the Commonwealth” during the conference on Sustainable Peace and Development in a Polarizing World: Perspectives and Contributions from the Commonwealth of Nations on April 09-11, 2018 in Brisbane, Australia organized by the Centre for Interfaith & Cultural Dialogue, Griffith University. He also spoke during the sessions “Reconciliation Across the Commonwealth” and “Muslims Building Peace and Security in the Commonwealth”.


Prof. Khasru was invited to the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2017 organized by International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) on June 2-4, 2017 in Singapore and he participated in a special session on ‘New Patterns of Security Cooperation.’ Where the then Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was the Keynote Speaker.
