COVID Digital KICK (Knowledge Information Content Kiosk) for South Asia

Developing an information sharing framework for public awareness and advocacy for Coronavirus prevention in South Asia


IPAG, in partnership with and support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada – one of the world’s largest funders of research on global development, has undertaken a public awareness campaign on COVID-19 with the project: COVID Digital KICK (Knowledge & Information Content Kiosk for) South Asia. The project studies and analyses COVID-19 related information affecting the region and then disseminate information and raise awareness among the 1.8 billion people residing in this region.


The goal is to make them better informed and well equipped to respond to this pandemic. The contents have been customized according to the South Asian context and then shared and promoted across multiple social media channels and languages. The contents have been developed in 15 of the most commonly spoken languages in the 8 South Asian countries to ensure that it reaches the intended audience in mediums that they understand.

Other COVID-19 Projects

From very early stages of the pandemic, IPAG has been actively involved in analyzing and disseminating knowledge on the COVID-19 pandemic. IPAG has run mass public awareness campaigns, published policy briefs and papers, and participated in global discourses. IPAG will also publish a book on the pandemic that will include writeups from global experts and frontline warriors of the pandemic.
